Dell experience...

Dell experience...
So anyway, continuing on what you read in my mass e-mail. We have a laptop that belongs to one of our server administrators, and the battery has gone out. The laptop is less than a year old, and I really think batteries should last longer than that. So I called them up, and a long story short, they sent me a new battery.

In the box that the battery came in, they entirely forgot to give me a return shipping label. Then, they proceeded to harass me via e-mail reminding me that they need the old battery back, and if I don't send it, they'll invoice me.

I guess what irritated me the most, is they wanted UPS to pick it up, and they pick it up between 9AM to 5PM EST. I'm not home (they would only pick up from my house, go figure) at all during those times, and no matter what you tell UPS, they'll practically come when they get there. One time, I had a Fedex package I needed to sign for, and you tell them when you are going to be home, and they come way after that or before it. What's the point of telling them when you're even going to be there?

Oh well, that's my rant for today...

Re: Dell experience...
ROTFLMBO with you... We can relate to this!! Only with USPS
In our area though we do not have a UPS can you believe that?
So we have drop offs - one is our Kroger's Grocery maybe that would be an option for you to look in your yellow pages and see if you have a UPS drop off store?

Re: Dell experience...
Not surprising, we only recently got a UPS store. Anyway, UPS stopped by after 5 when I actually was home, so it worked out.

And, a few days ago, I got notification that Dell has received the battery, so no more harassing e-mails.
